It’s About Time!

Back again! Many things on the brain today, but the one on the forefront is that I just earned a degree. I just took my last final this morning and, just like that, I’m a college graduate! It is rather unfortunate that I managed to forget to bring my pencil to my final. I’ve had that pencil since high school… 5 or 6 years I’ve held on to that thing and I forget to bring it on my last ever (sorta) day of college. Oh well, the important thing is it’s done!

But now that school is officially over, it’s time to dive into study abroad tasks. Preparing for such a long trip isn’t something I’ve had to do… ever. Travel tips always seem to start out the same way though, “Lay out what you’re planning to bring and take half of it,” and, “Leave your bag half empty.” Looks like I will be re-wearing many of the same outfits if that’s all I get. I’m a notorious over-packer so I’m going to have to try really hard to follow this advice. I have not even begun to think of the specifics of my packing lists as there’s still so much more to get done before I leave. Main focus now is to get a little more knowledge about the customs in the Czech Republic and maybe work in a bit of language practice. I don’t have a whole lot of time, though, since, as of yesterday, I leave in one month. One month! It’s hard not to feel overwhelmed by everything there is to do, but it’s very exciting to think about all the things I will have the chance to do when I get there.

But I’ll worry about all that tomorrow, tonight is a night to celebrate all the work that has gone into school over the entirety of my life. Though I’m not quite through with it, the main goal has been achieved in the form of a very expensive and emotionally taxing piece of paper that is my accounting degree!
